A few other terms that you may encounter are:

  • IRCop, that is a user that has control over the entire network. They can ban someone from a server and have authority in any channel that they join. In the event of a problem, type “!staff” in #chibipaws and it will list the active IRCops. We are there to help you, tho usually we are fairly busy so ask us to join your channel or pm us any and all questions.
  • Services, are the things that control the IRC for the most part. They give positions in channels such as Owner, Admin, Op, etc… they can also be set to kick a user or ban a user in a channel. In order to control Services, you need to be registered. To do that “/msg NickServ register <email> <password>” Then simply “/query NickServ help” for a list of commands. Other service bots include: ChanServ, only IRCops can control these tho: HostServ, BotServ, and OperServ.
